The deathcam glitch has been found in several prior Souls games, including Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, but it's more well-known in classic Dark Souls, where it is used to the game's break-in to Sen's Fortress. In the game, the bug is activated by positioning an enemy so that riposting them briefly causes you to be pushed out of the way and triggers the deathcam. Also, because certain objects don't load while the glitch is in force, you're allowed to walk right into Sen's Fortress even if the gate is shut.
Since Ginz has discovered the Elden Ring deathcam bug nearly two weeks ago, players have found many places to trigger the bug, with some more effective than others. Elden Ring's speedrun strategies are currently focusing on playing well instead of exploiting a few of bugs, but I'm sure there's at least one player trying to find ways to skip bosses, and perhaps entire areas using the game's deathcam. It's only the time before people open Elden Ring's massive world wide open, and I can't wait to see how quickly they'll be able to do it.
